CryptoLITE is a complete end-to-end OTT platform that includes CryptoGuard’s Multi-DRM content protection. This will be featured at CABSAT. The OTT platform includes all processing and distribution of OTT broadcast streams to end-user applications, mobiles, set-top boxes and PCs. The solution is cost-effective, quick to deploy and ideal for pay-TV operators to reduce cost and time-to-market, according to Hannu Vunnel, Marketing Director at CryptoGuard.
The company will also demo a number of other solutions, including conditional access and basic middleware for set-top boxes, aimed at reducing the costs of establishing high-quality multicast IPTV services on local IP networks. CryptoGuard provides a core and headend server with CAS, SMS and EPG data. The solution offers a wide selection of set-top boxes, from pure zapper boxes to more advanced boxes also supporting Android and OTT services.
The company says its CAS “is one of the most flexible and secure pay-TV content protection solutions in the market today, with an attractive ‘pay-as-you-grow’ business model… The system is ideal for any size of network and can scale from a few hundred to millions of subscribers. The future-oriented CAS is feature-rich, supports any business model, includes SMS and can be extended with DRM and OTT for anywhere, any screen viewing experience. CryptoGuard CAS has been deployed in 50+ countries and is integrated with a wide range of consumer devices.”
The company will also showcase a mobile CAS which enables terrestrial TV operators to deliver pay-TV services to Android mobile devices, which receive the TV signals using a standard mobile TV dongle. The pay-TV services are decrypted by CryptoGuard’s mobile CAS, integrated with the mobile TV dongle app.
CryptoGuard also offers EPG and fingerprinting options for its CAS solution.
Speaking about CABSAT and its importance, Vunnel said: “CABSAT covers an important region which we have identified as having high-growth potential. We are looking for new clients, meeting with existing clients and ecosystem partners. Our main aim is to find new customers and partners in the region.”
