Dubai International Content Market- a key event for media professionals in the UAE and MENA region has announced its dates for 2019. The event will return with a new edition from 9 to 10 December, 2019 at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Conference Centre.
The new edition of DICM will include some of the unique features of last year such as, the ‘plug & work’ exhibiting package – a turnkey, cost effective solution for content sellers and distributors. Our pre-arranged meeting service will also be available to selected TV Stations, Pay-TV Channels, VoD, In-Flight Entertainment, Cable & Satellite Operators, IPTV, Production, Distribution and other specialists connected with the TV Industry.
Speaking on the announcement, Vlad Borovina, Project Manager for Dubai International Content Market, said: “Continuing our strategic partnerships, built with the likes of Dubai Media City, Dubai Film and TV Commission and mena.tv, will help the forthcoming edition of DICM achieve its target of becoming the capital of the media industry in the region.”
The 2018 edition saw participation of more than 78 exhibitors, 600 buyers and 20 speakers engaged in 850+ meetings during the two days. Some of the participants represented top names in the industry, such as, all3media, Flame Distribution, DHX Media, Etihad Airways, Dubai TV, and Abu Dhabi Media. The interest in the content was diverse with some categories stood out with 85.7% for Films and Series followed by 52.4% for Animation and 47.6% for Factual category.
