Starz Play screens anime movie with Vox Cinemas

Starz Play and VOX Cinemas are screening the Japanese anime movie based on a Manga comic, which is also available on Starz Play for regional subscribers.

Starz Play has partnered with Vox Cinemas to bring the movie, My Hero Academia, to cinemas in Dubai and Abu Dhabi across various regional Vox locations.

The Japanese anime feature film, based on the popular manga comic version My Hero Academia by Kōhei Horikoshi, attracted hundreds of regional anime fans keen to catch the film in the UAE for the first time since its original release in Japan. The anime box set series inspired by the comic is available on Starz Play for regional subscribers.

The plot of the movie sees characters receive an invitation to I-Expo, an exhibition of ‘Quirk’ abilities and hero item innovations. Later I-Expo’s top-of-the-line security system gets hacked by villains, and a sinister plan is put in motion. One man, All Might, holds the key to saving hero society and becomes a symbol of peace. Fans can book into cinemas across the region. VOX Cinema City Centre Mirdif and Mall of the Emirates are offering a dedicated morning showtime for parents and babies.
