At this years show, LiveU will be showcasing product enhancements for LiveUs HEVC 4K-SDI card that presents an additional 4K product offering within the LU600 suite. The LU600 4K-SDI solution facilitates professional 4Kp50/60 streaming for production, supporting VR and 360 applications, the release stated.
The release also stated that 2018 has been a milestone for LiveU with its flagship LU600 4K HEVC solution offering solutions for the FIFA World Cup in Russia where the largest deployment of LiveU units are reportedly being used for live coverage from the 12 host cities. Other events include Absa Cape Epic in South Africas Western Cape, the worlds most televised mountain bike race, covering 658 km over eight days. In addition teaming up with Griiip, manufacturer of the G1, a new tech-packed, entry-level Formula race car, LiveU solutions have reportedly enabled streaming live the G1 series races in Italy with on-board units to increase audience engagement.
Other products to be showcased at IBC 2018 are the LU600 solution that now offers an integrated hybrid roaming solution for local and global operations. With the new dual-SIM modem configured with roaming SIMs, every LU600 can be a local and global unit without needing to replace or obtain local SIMs in more than 100 countries worldwide, the company claims. Combining three key elements dual-SIMs, global modems and roaming software the LiveU units are reportedly ready to roam instantly.
Other products include LiveUs LU600 solution with the HEVC Pro card that offers the video performance in live streaming for global newsgathering. Combined with the 4K HEVC Pro Card, the LU600 allows broadcasters and content creators to benefit from video performance with bandwidth efficiency using one of the smallest portable cellular bonding units in the market, the release stated.
LiveU will also be showing LiveU Matrix, its next generation platform for live contribution over IP, enabling broadcasters to view, manage and distribute live content quickly and efficiently.
LiveU will be demonstrating the latest additions to Solo, LiveUs plug-and-play live streaming device for the online media, including the newly enhanced Solo Studio Cloud Graphics suite and the new Solo app that combines cellular and Wi-Fi connections.
