ARET has developed a special coachbuilding technique, which is dedicated to OB Vans working in harsh weather conditions.
Italian video and audio company ARET will be exhibiting its various OB Vans as well as coachbuilding and turnkey integration at CABSAT 2020, the largest broadcast digital media and satellite expo of the MENA region which will take place from March 31 to April 2.
ARET has been exhibiting at this convention for more than a decade, delivering many important projects for customers. ARET has won the “Outstanding Innovation in OB Engineering Award” of the BroadcastPro ME Awards in 2018 for a radio OB van with a brand-new concept for its category.
In July 2019, a system of two truck was delivered to the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation, renewing their outside broadcasting unit. The Mauritian national broadcaster required to cover simultaneous events. Instead of building one big truck, the idea was to split the system into two independent vehicles.
Normally, they could work as standard OB Vans, with the advantages of having two different systems to cover simultaneous events, but in the case of need, they could share all of their internal resources when working linked together.
In September 2019, a DSNG OB Van with up to 12 cameras and a fully 12G ready workflow was commissioned by the Oromia Broadcasting Network, the leading media organisation in the Oromia region of Ethiopia.
The 4K video workflow is backed up by the MC236 audio mixer by Lawo. A direct connection was made via MADI with the audio embedder and a RAVENNA connection with the stage box to ensure the maximum flexibility. With its satellite antenna and internet streamers, this vehicle promises to face the different live broadcast situation.
ARET is currently delivering another fully 12G system for a client in Qatar, with a workflow that aims to ease the upgrade to the new video standard, enhancing the possibility for the operators and the quality of the production.
ARET’s approach in OB Vans is ‘end to end’ since the company also incorporates the coachbuilding facility. The job starts from consultancy, structural design, electrical engineering, air-conditioning, system design and proceeds throughout all the phases from coachbuilding to systems integration, commissioning, training and after-sales support. All these phases are 100% carried out by ARET personnel and resources only.
ARET keeps a full record of every OB Van delivered: drawings, SW and firmware releases, a full HW inventory both for the equipment and mechanical components and this represent a very big added value for the customer.
