Broadcast and digital media professionals from the Middle East, North Africa and beyond are making their way to CABSAT 2013, which opens tomorrow, Tuesday 12th March at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), as local content across traditional and digital platforms in the MENA region remains in high demand, according to research by Digital TV Europe.
This years exhibition has attracted close to 850 exhibitors from 54 countries, bringing the very best technologies the world has to offer. Alongside this comprehensive exhibition are a number of conference themes, touching subjects as diverse as internet television and planning for satellite capacity in Africa.
The conference programme includes presentations from SGI, a leader in technical computing, talking about transforming workflows by moving to a data-centric platform, and from Grass Valley, an international media processing and storage provider, who will be sharing experiences on non-linear sports production in the multi-screen world, being a latest focus of the industry these days.
Another exciting innovation at CABSAT 2013 is Africa in Focus, which is bringing together key decision makers from all the emerging African markets. Delegates from around the world, including broadcasters, producers and other industry professionals, will draw on their experiences to develop new architectures and practices which will feed the booming demand for content in their markets.

CABSAT 2013 takes place in halls 1 8 of at DWTC from 12 14 March. The exhibition is strictly for trade and business only, and visitors under the age of 18 will not be permitted entry.
