This film, a modern take on Abdel-Quddous’ novel, previously brought to the screen in 1972, is scheduled for release later this year.
The adaptation of the late legendary writer Ihsan Abdel-Quddous’ work, A Nose and Three Eyes, will hold its world premiere at the upcoming Red Sea International Film Festival‘s third edition, scheduled from November 30 to December 9, 2023.
Produced by Lagoonie Film Production in collaboration with Rise Studio, A Nose and Three Eyes represents a contemporary adaptation of Abdel-Quddous’ renowned novel, previously brought to the screen in 1972.
A Nose and Three Eyes follows Doctor Hashem, a renowned plastic surgeon in his mid-40s who, despite having been in two long-term relationships before, remains single. However, his encounter with Ruba, a woman 25 years his junior, becomes irresistible despite the age difference.
Directed by Amir Ramsis and penned by scriptwriter Wael Hamdy, the cast of A Nose and Three Eyes includes Dhaffer L’Abidine, Saba Mubarak, Salma Abudeif, Sedky Sakhr, Gihan El Shamashergy, Salwa Mohamed Ali, Nabil Maher, and Selim Mostafa. Additionally, Dina El-Sherbiny will make a special appearance as a guest of honour.
