A delegation from Abu Dhabi Film Commission (ADFC) and twofour54 attended the AFCI Locations Show and Global Production & Finance Conference in Los Angeles to showcase Abu Dhabi as a filming destination.
Manager of Abu Dhabi Film Commission, Jassim Al Nowais, and twofour54s Head of Production Mick Flannigan were among the team who attended the show. The event acts as a marketplace, connecting commercial, film and television professionals to global production locations and film funding resources.
ADFC was a Gold Sponsor of the event and took part in two panel discussions. Al Nowais gave a talk on the benefits of Abu Dhabi as a filming destination; while Flannigan participated in a panel discussing financing options and incentives around the world for film production.
Al Nowais commented: “Abu Dhabi is now on the map as a location for the international film industry thanks to films like Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Fast and Furious 7 and War Machine, but we are still a relative newcomer so we need to keep marketing ourselves. There is a great level of curiosity from producers and directors about what Abu Dhabi can offer and weve had a great level of engagement here at the AFCI Locations event in Los Angeles.”
