Abu Dhabi TV and ADTV app will broadcast the programmes for free throughout Ramadan.
Abu Dhabi TV, part of the Abu Dhabi TV Network, has announced its line-up of content for the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The lineup includes eleven programmes covering a variety of Ramadan-themed religious, social, cultural, entertainment and humanitarian programmes relevant to the Holy Month.
Under the slogan, Hal hlalak Abu Dhabi darak, Abu Dhabi TV and the ADTV app will offer a diverse collection of shows, including two series and three programmes produced by Abu Dhabi Media.
In addition, there will also be a number of Egyptian series including Pablo, Shughl Aali, and Wujouh, along with Gulf series Al Zaqoum, Mohammad Ali Road 2, Kaid Al Harim, and Abdulhamid Hafez Family and Syrian series Kasr Adem. There will also be a number of religious and interactive programmes, including Hadith Al Imam Al Tayyeb, Al Dunya B Khair – Awnak, and Tabkhetna Ghair.
All the series and programmes will be available for free via its website and the ADTV app, which is available on Android TV, Apple TV, Apple Store, and Google Play.
Speaking about the Ramadan series, Haitham Alkathiri, Acting Executive Director of Abu Dhabi TV Network, said: “During the Holy Month of Ramadan, we seek to attract more viewers in the Arab world by providing rich and exclusive content for Abu Dhabi TV and the ADTV app. We aim to do this by providing new entertainment and drama choices ranging from Abu Dhabi Media’s own productions to a number of the best Arab productions, to ensure that Abu Dhabi TV Network is in a leading position as a diverse and complete media platform that meets the aspirations of the entire Arab audience.”
Abu Dhabi TV will present Mohammad Ali Road 2 after the success of the first season, following up on character development and events in a new plot. The series, directed by Jassem Al Muhanna, deals with the themes of friendship, fealty, and loyalty. It stars Khaled Amin, Saad Faraj, Bouthaina Al Raisi, and Faysal Al Omairi.
The series Abdulhamid Hafez Family, directed by Haya Abdulsalam and Saud Bou Obaid, tells the story of Abdulhamid Al Sarhan, a man obsessed with the voice of the late singer Abdulhalim Hafez. The series is produced by Abu Dhabi Media and will premiere exclusively on Abu Dhabi TV and the ADTV app, starring Ahmad Al Jesmi, Haya Abdulsalam, Asmahan Tawfik, and other stars.
Kaid Al Harim is written by Fahad Al Baloushi and directed by Mustafa Fikri, starring Jassem Al Nabhan, Abdulimam Abdulla, Hanadi Al Kendari, Mohammad Al Haddad, Rawan Al Ali, Abdulla Al Tulaihi, Fahad Al Saleh, and Huda Al Hamdan.
Abu Dhabi TV will premiere the Egyptian drama series Pablo, starring Hasan Al Raddad who portrays Sayyed Hasan, a gallant young man who has a strong and plucky character that helped him survive the difficult life he endured as an orphan. The series features top stars like Ahmad Zaher, Nabil Al Hilfawi, Sawsan Badr, Najlaa Badr, and Ahmad Fouad Salim, and is written by Hasan Dahshan and directed by Ibrahim Fakhr.
Another Egyptian drama series will be Shughl Aali, which brings together a group of popular actors like Fifi Abdo, Shireen Ridha, Ahmad Bedair, Houriyah Farghali, and Bayoumi Fouad. The series is directed by Marcus Adel and written by Husain Muharram.
Dr Ahmad Al Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, will be sharing his religious knowledge via the programme Hadith Al Imam Al Tayyeb throughout the days of the Holy Month. He will be providing detailed explanations to viewers about the names of Allah and how they can help Muslims in their worship to overcome adversity, in addition to giving them faith, inner peace, and tranquillity.
The programme Al Dunya B’Khair – Awnak, presented by Ahmad Al Yammahi, sheds light on the efforts exerted by the UAE Red Crescent to help people around the world.
Chef Naseem Rasrummani and Chef Abdulaziz Al Humaidan will take viewers on a culinary journey with Tabkhetna Ghair, a comedic cooking show that will teach ways to make delicious Arab cuisine, with the two celebrity chefs adding their signature touches to each dish and creating exceptional recipes. Some episodes will also feature guest Michelin Star chefs to taste the dishes.
