Abu Dhabi TV Network is upgrading the software of all Ad Sports Humax IR 2020 HD set-top boxes to allow subscribers to visit websites through their set-top-boxes. Now viewers will be able to visit some of their favourite sites such as YouTube, Flickr, Twitter, Picasa and WikiTV from the same device that brings them programmes in sports and entertainment.
The announcement expands on ADTVs mission to deliver the best in content and the latest in technology at an affordable price. Dennis Lehtinen, head of Pay TV operations, explained: The Ad Sports set-top box already offers the best in HD programming. We are thrilled to be able to provide an additional service to our subscribers who can now access these websites through their set-top-box at no additional charge to their subscription. Lehtinen continued, ADTV Network is the first DTH (Direct-to-home) platform in the region to offer to offer this capability and we look forward to adding more sites and content in the coming months.
Subscribers will continue to enjoy all 380 Barclays Premier League games, other live international sporting events such as F1, WWE and Grand Slam Tennis as well as Fox movies HD, Fox HD, Sky News HD, Nat Geo Wild HD, and Nat Geo Adventure HD.
All current subscribers to Ad Sports Barclays Premier League package who own the Adsports Humax IR 2020 HD set-top-boxes will be automatically upgraded to receive this feature. New subscribers who purchase the set-top-box will be able to enjoy the online features instantly in addition to the sports and entertainment programming available in HD. User of this feature will require a separate internet connection.
