Organised by CineGouna Platform, CineGouna SpringBoard is a project development and co-production lab that enables Arab film directors and producers with projects in development or films in post-production to find creative and financial support.
Six partners of the Arab Cinema Center (ACC) presented monetary awards to the projects participating in the CineGouna SpringBoard, one of the initiatives organised by the CineGouna Platform within the third El Gouna Film Festival, also an ACC partner.
The six partners: Arab Radio and Television Network (ART), Lagoonie Film Production, iProductions, Ergo Media Ventures, Art City, and Rotana awarded $10,000 to each of the projects in development.
Daughters of Abdul-Rahman, by director Zaid Abu Hamdan received $20,000 from two of the sponsors; Straight to the Goal, by director Tam-er Ashry also received $20,000 from two of the sponsors while Severed Head, by director Lotfi Achour was awarded $10,000 and Looking for Sa’adah, by director Areen Omari received $5,000.

CineGouna Platform is an industry-oriented event aimed at nurturing promising film projects from Egypt and the Arab world and help them find artistic and financial support. CineGouna Platform presents the CineGouna SpringBoard and the CineGouna Bridge, which are pro-grammes that provide opportunities for sharing and learning through workshops, panel discussions, and master classes led by industry experts.
ACC is organised by MAD Solutions and celebrates its fifth year since its inception in 2015.
