Acorn TV in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, along with France’s Polar+, a Canal+ subsidiary, have secured the rights to broadcast the Israeli crime drama series The Truth.
The series, comprising eight episodes of 52 minutes each, is being distributed by About Premium Content (APC) and has also found a home with Be TV for French-speaking Belgium and Polar+ in France.
Produced by a collaborative effort between Endemol Shine Israel, Elvie Productions, and Place du Marché Productions for Israel’s Kan11, The Truth boasts a talented team behind its creation. The show was brought to life by the minds of Dror Misha’ani, Idit Avrahami, and the writing duo Aurit Zamir and Daphna Levin.
The Truth delves into the intricacies of justice and crime as it follows the aftermath of a shocking event. Set against the backdrop of Israel’s judicial system, the series unfolds on a day pivotal to the nation’s legal history.
