Crime+Investigation Play will feature more than 1,000 hours of premium programming and local originals of true-crime content.
A+E Networks EMEA will launch its existing Crime+Investigation Play channel as a new UK direct-to-consumer streaming service dedicated to true crime content on September 5, 2022.
Launched in 2019, Crime+Investigation is available via Amazon Prime Video Channels and Apple TV Channels in the UK, Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands. The new direct-to-consumer rollout will make Crime+Investigation Play widely available in the UK through the Crime+Investigation Play app and across multiple platforms.
The new launch, via a dedicated app, will offer more than 1,000 hours of true crime content to UK audiences.
Crime+Investigation Play direct-to-consumer will offer true crime boxsets, a library of browsable content, curated collections and new content available weekly. Local originals available on the service include Rob Rinder’s Interrogation Secrets and Murdertown 4, franchises such as Meet, Marry, Murder, The Jail: 60 Days In, Killer Britain With Dermot Murnaghan, Homicide Hunter and The First 48, and docuseries such as Surviving R. Kelly, Secrets Of Playboy and Surviving Jeffrey Epstein.
