AfriDocs, the free streaming platform for African documentaries has announced a curated stream of programming available on Channel24, South Africas largest entertainment website.
Every week an African documentary will be available on Channel24 to stream, the first weeks film being the award-winning Ethiopian documentary Omo Child followed by Strike a Rock that follows two South African mothers and best friends, Primrose Sonti and Thumeka Magwangqana who lead the community as they continue to fight for justice after the massacre at Marikana in 2012.
AfriDocs, in partnership with Channel24 will reportedly select the most topical and relevant films for audiences across South Africa and beyond.
For Freedom Day, April 27, AfriDocs will present Have You Heard From Johannesburg: Oliver Tambo, the recently released biopic of the often overlooked hero. With previously unseen footage, interviews with those closest to Tambo, and in his own words, the film is reportedly a moving tribute.
