This new multi-year, multi-satellite agreement ensures continued broadcast of Al Jazeera’s SD and HD news and events channels across three key Eutelsat video neighbourhoods.
Eutelsat Group has announced that Al Jazeera Media Network has renewed its multi-year, multi-satellite agreement with the company, ensuring broadcast continuity across the Middle East, North Africa and Europe. The agreement secures the transmission of Al Jazeera’s SD and HD news and events channels through three key Eutelsat video neighbourhoods: 7/8° West for MENA, Eutelsat HOTBIRD for Europe, and Eutelsat 16A for Central and Eastern Europe.
The 7/8° West position, covering 95% of homes in MENA, is the leading broadcast neighbourhood in the region. Eutelsat HOTBIRD at 13° East serves 130 million homes across Europe, making it a vital platform for Arab communities, while Eutelsat 16A at 16° East ensures extensive coverage in Central and Eastern Europe.
