Peter Oillataguerre has joined from Spyglass Media Group, where he served for three and a half years as President of Production.
Industry veteran Peter Oillataguerre has returned to Amazon MGM Studios, assuming the newly created role of Head of Feature Film Production.
Studio chief Jennifer Salke wrote in a memo to staff: “With more than 20 years of industry experience, Peter is a seasoned executive with considerable expertise in the world of production. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the feature film production cycle for the Amazon MGM Studios film group.”
Oillataguerre is scheduled to commence his duties on September 18, and he will be reporting to Dan Scharf, Head of Global Business Operations. His role will entail close collaboration with Courtenay Valenti, Head of Film, Streaming, and Theatrical, as well as the entire film team within the studio.
This appointment marks a return for Oillataguerre to Amazon MGM Studios, who previously served as President of Production for Spyglass Media Group. During his tenure there, he played a pivotal role in overseeing the relaunch of the Scream franchise, among other notable titles.
Before joining Spyglass in 2020, Oillataguerre spent nine years as the President of Physical Production for MGM Studios. In this capacity, he exercised comprehensive oversight over all aspects of physical production for both the feature film and television units. His track record includes projects such as the James Bond films Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time To Die, along with the revival of the Rocky franchise through the Creed films. Additionally, he managed renowned television series like The Handmaid’s Tale, Fargo, Vikings, and Get Shorty.
