For the eighth consecutive year, the Arab Cinema Center has participated in the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), which will run until February 20.
Under the umbrella of the Arab Cinema Center, 10 partners including film organisations, companies and festivals have participated in the festival.
As part of the European Film Market in Berlin, Alaa Karkouti, the Co-Founder of MAD Solutions and ACC, will also moderate a panel discussion titled Decolonising Distribution/Contextualising Visibility on February 16.
During a virtual reception held by the ACC at this year’s Berlinale, the ACC will grant the Arab Cinema Personality of the Year Award. The date of the reception and the awarded personality is yet to be announced.
ACC partners at the Berlinale this year include Arab Radio and Television Network(KSA), El Gouna Film Festival (Egypt), Gemini Africa (Egypt), Greener Screen (UAE), IEFTA (France), Lagoonie Film Production (Egypt), MAD Solutions (Egypt, UAE, Lisbon), Sudan Film Factory, Sudan Independent Film Festival, and The Imaginarium Films (Jordan).
