ACC will select one Arab film project from each category as per the agreement between ACC and the festival, which will be held from 15-24 March in Spain.
The Arab Cinema Centre (ACC) has opened the call for applications for Arab film projects to participate in MAFF – the Málaga Film Festival Fund & Co-production Event, as well as the Málaga Work In Progress, which is held alongside MAFF in Spain (March 15-24, 2019). ACC will select one Arab film project from each category as per the agreement between ACC and the festival.
The deadline to submit applications on ACCs web site is 22 February, 2019. To be eligible to apply for the MAFF, projects must have secured 20% of the financing for production. Each production company may apply with a maximum of two film projects. As for the Málaga Work In Progress, projects must be the first or second works of their directors.
The two winning film projects of the MAFF will have the opportunity to connect with the international funding institutions attending the festival and producers from Spain and other European countries. The Málaga Work in Progress focuses on financing film production, facilitating its completion and international distribution. Films participating in Málaga Work in Progress will have the opportunity to present their project to the international funds participating in MAFF as well as to sales agents and international distributors.
