Two Egyptian films, Photocopy (2017) by Tamer Ashri and Induced Labour (2018) by Khaled Diab, will be screened at the upcoming Arab Film Festival Stockholm, which is scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 2 in the Swedish capital.
Organised by Malmo Arab Film Festival, the Stockholm edition will open with Palestinian drama Wajib (2017), followed by two days of screenings of five feature films and four short films by Arab directors.
Induced Labour is a comedy about a couple seeking a visa to America. The husband discovers that his pregnant wife has taken pills to speed up the delivery process to give birth on American soil, and his son gets citizenship.
The film stars RashaGawdat, Maged el-Kedwany, Mai Kassab, Abdel Rahman Abou Zahra, Bayoumi Fouad, Horeya Farghali and Sayed Ragab.
Photocopy follows a retired old man in Cairo who begins to learn about the extinction of dinosaurs. The discovery sets off a series of events that will give his life renewed meaning.
