Stars of Science, the science and technology themed docu-reality show will return to MBC4 this September 2012. The fourth season has been announced by the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), who initialised the show in 2009. It will be aired all over the Arab region.
The show aims to discover and nurture talent amongst the Arab youth within the world of science and technology. It comprises of a nine-week series, beginning with a search for a new group of young, Arab innovators. 16 finalists will be chosen from a casting tour that travels across Egypt, Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia and KSA. In a live television finale, where the public will be invited to vote alongside the Jury, a grand total of 600,000 USD will be awarded to the finalists; one winner and three runners-up.

Over the last four years, the show has grown in profile and popularity to become the showcase for our regions young talent within the fields of science and technology, who have proved they have the passion, talent and determination to turn their dreams into reality. The accomplishments of our previous winners have been a delight to observe.
Stars of Science is the first Pan-Arab TV show to shine a spotlight on the regions young inventors. Previously, the show has aired on almost 20 channels across the Arab world, providing a platform for young Arabs to turn their innovative visions into a reality, with recognition and a potential product.
Haytham Desoki from Egypt was last seasons winner, taking away the final prize money of 300,000 USD. The show has helped him to develop his touch screen invention VIVIFI, which is a sticker that can be placed under any surface to convert it into a touch feature surface. Haytham, who works at Nile University in Egypt, now has his own company in Cairo, distributing his winning product locally. He aims to have VIVIFI available on the international market including Europe and the US by 2013.
Season four of Stars of Science will be hosted by Khaled Al Jumaily. The first episode will air on 13 September 2012 at 8pm KSA, with daily updates starting from 6 October at 5pm KSA on MBC4.
