Arabsat has partnered with Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) to organise and sponsor the 16th edition of Arab Festival for Radio and Television from May 11 to 16, 2015 in Hammamet, Tunisia. The festival will be attended by more than 600 media figures from all over the Arab world.
Commenting on the partnership, Khalid bin Ahmed Balkheyour, President and CEO of Arabsat said: “Arabsat enjoys a historical relationship with ASBU for more than 30 years. We also work together on MENOS, the fastest and the largest network for exchanging multimedia content over satellites, for professional TV broadcasters, allowing them to share video and audio material all over the MENA and Europe. We are also working closely with ASBU in many relevant committees to coordinate between satellite TV channels, and to combat deliberate jamming and piracy of satellite broadcasting, and infringement of ownership rights.
“The Arab Festival for Radio and Television is a remarkable media gathering in the Arab world where ?we can meet our customers and get acquainted with their needs, aspirations and expectations, which helps us a lot in providing the best satellite services to them.”
