Asharq Discovery, the prominent free-to-view platform, has announced its lineup of seven original productions, catering to the surging demand for high-quality Arabic content worldwide. Launched in 2023 through a strategic partnership between SRMG and Warner Bros. Discovery, the platform aims to captivate Arabic-speaking audiences across the globe with diverse shows spanning art, lifestyle, education, entertainment quizzes, crime, mystery, and food.
The new original shows include Dark Minds, Bassma, Food Tales, Test Drive Riyadh, In Other News, The Critics, and Diet Master.
Soon to air on all Asharq Discovery platforms, Dark Minds stands as the Arab world’s pioneer true crime docuseries. The show delves into the crimes perpetrated by serial killers from the MENA region. Unearthing tales of murders that have remained shrouded, the series takes a profound investigative approach, unravelling the motives behind these crimes through insightful interviews with experts and researchers. Augmenting the narrative, the show presents a vast collection of documents, facts, and evidence, coupled with exclusive, never-before-seen footage, vividly bringing these chilling events to life.
Every Monday at 9:00 pm KSA time, catch Bassma on air. This show presents exclusive interviews spotlighting the remarkable accomplishments of a group of Arab women who have left an indelible mark in diverse fields. The programme delves into the journeys of these women, shedding light on the challenges they encountered and unravelling the secrets to their success. Featuring renowned and highly respected Arab figures including actress Yusra, singer Samira Saeed, the first Saudi female aerospace engineer Mishaal Ashemimry, accomplished lawyer Sofana Dahlan, and other iconic individuals who have shaped and inspired the Arab world.
Tune in every Friday at 6:00 pm KSA time for ‘Food Tales.’ A treat for every food enthusiast, this show is hosted by the renowned social media star Qasim Al-Hatto. Coming soon to all Asharq Discovery platforms, Diet Master is set to explore a varied array of popular diets, delving into the advantages, disadvantages, and associated risks of each. Hosted by influencer Mohanad Al Hattab, the show critically assesses the most popular diets of our time, offering viewers comprehensive insights to make informed decisions.
