Namboodiri will be responsible for leading the team across international markets.
Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. has appointed Ashok Namboodiri as Chief Business Officer for its International Business, effective January 20, 2021.
In line with the ZEE 4.0 approach, the company intends to fortify its international business and Namboodiri’s remit will be to do this efficiently with an integrated team.
The company’s 4.0 strategy includes bringing together all of its digital assets under a single umbrella, which includes ZEE5 (domestic AVOD+SVOD), ZEE5 Global, SugarBox and Digital Publishing.
Namboodiri previously worked with Star India, where he led the regional sports business, general entertainment business in the Kannada market. He had also spearheaded the launch of five sports channels.
