International Turkish news platform TRT World is now available to viewers across the Asia-Pacific region via AsiaSat 7 following a deal between AsiaSat and TRT Worlds global distributor Globecast. The deal will see the channel added to the AsiaSat 7 platform, which offers C-band coverage of Asia, the Middle East, Australasia and Central Asia and Ku beams serving East and South Asia. Globecast is providing DTH distribution of TRT World, including worldwide connectivity and uplink distribution services.
AsiaSat is renowned for its advanced fleet of satellite and overall expertise in the business. Through their help, coupled with sophisticated technology from Globecast, were delighted to now expand TRT World to millions of viewers across Asia, said Ibrahim Eren, Deputy Director General of TRT.
Earlier this month TRT World began broadcasting over the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) on Arabsats Badr-6 satellite at 26°E. It has also been added to the MENA pay-TV platform beIN.
