Avid has appointed Ahmed Shanti to the role of Territory Account Manager for Middle East. Shantis responsibilities are to increase Avids market share in the region as well as being the company’s first point of contact with its customers to ensure a smooth sales and installation process. He will be based in the newly refurbished Dubai office.
The appointment coincides with the reopening of Avids Dubai office, which has undergone extensive refurbishment and now houses a demo room showcasing the complete Avid end-to-end solution based on the Avid MediaCentral Platform. The demo room features the latest news production and audio and video post-production workflows, media management workflows, along with Media Composer, Pro Tools HD, and Pro Tools | S6.

Shanti joins Avid from Grass Valley where he spent four years as Regional Sales Manager covering several countries across the Middle East region. Prior to this he worked with several broadcasters and system integrators in Jordan, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
