Batelco partners with Vianeos to enhance OTT services

Under the partnership, Vianeos has revamped the Batelco TV (IPTV and OTT) services by creating and developing new user experience and interface.

French multi-screen video platform Vianeos has partnered with Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco) to launch new OTT services. Batelco offers mobile, internet, landline telephony, and TV services within Bahrain.
The new Batelco TV app is available on the Bahrain operator’s legacy AOSP set-top boxes. The UX design and UI were shaped by Vianeos. The new UI enhances the user experience via a powerful and intuitive graphical layout that makes features easy to use. Customers can manage any multimedia content distributed over Batelco’s IPTV network with 200 plus channels, 65 plus in HD.
As for the OTT app, it has been developed on Android TV and Apple TV with a subscription allowing TV viewers to access various services. Among them, the subscription to the VOD platform StarzPlay has been integrated to offer a vast catalogue of on-demand content in English and Arabic.

Commenting on the new services, Bachir Ghalayini, Associate Director at Vianeos, said: “We are glad to provide Batelco with an IPTV and OTT platform, fully revamped and viewer oriented. Both teams are proud of the outcome in terms of User Experience and Design. With fierce competition in the IPTV and OTT space, a video platform adapted to viewers’ needs make sense for many operators.”
