BeIN and Mediapro have launched beIN La Liga in Spain. The channel, which promises 24-hour football-related programming in HD, is the second beIN network in Spain, after the launch of beIN Sports in 2015, which has the TV rights for the Champions League.
The move follows beINs acquisition of La Liga pay-TV rights, which will see eight top-tier league fixtures broadcast every week and always include a game from FC Barcelona or Real Madrid and one El Clásico, as well as almost every game of the Copa del Rey. The semi-finals and final will be available via Mediapros free-to-air channel GOL.
beIN La Liga is expected to be distributed by Movistar+, Vodafone and Orange.
It was also announced that former football players Raúl González and Michael Laudrup will be part of the commentating team.
