A tweet from beIN stated that although the linear service was no longer available, viewers may go to beIN Connect to access content on their mobile devices.
beIN Media Group has announced that it has discontinued its linear service in Egypt starting 8 January owing to an inability to come to an agreement with Cable Network Egypt (CNE).
beIN released a tweet stating that it is unable to provide services on CNE as of January 8th, 2019 as a result of CNE refusing to agree reasonable commercial terms.
The Qatari network, however, added that viewers can continue to enjoy beIN Connect services on smartphones and other devices through the broadcasters online platform.
A statement on CNEs website said: We are working on resolving this issue as soon as possible. It also guaranteed a refund of the remaining subscription period should the two parties not reach a resolution.
