BeIN Media Group has inked a five-year first-run output deal with Middle East film distributor Front Row Filmed Entertainment. The deal follows beINs recent announcement to expand its offering of paid channels from premium sports to entertainment and movies. BeINs move into movies is considered a game changer for the pay-TV landscape in the MENA region.
In order to strengthen its content portfolio, beIN Media Group is reportedly in talks to purchase Miramax. The deal would give it a direct foothold in Hollywood.
We understand beINs ambition to position itself as the leading regional entertainment platform and we are committed to collaborating with beIN on this journey, said Gianluca Chakra, Managing Partner of Dubai-based Front Row Filmed Entertainment.
He added that the five-year agreement was probably one of the biggest deals in Front Rows history.
