This year’s Academy Award nominees and a host of former Oscar-winning movies will be broadcast on beIN Box Office 1 and 2, as well as beIN Movies 3 Drama.
BeIN Media Group will provide film fanatics in MENA with nine Academy Award nominated movies and a host of previous winners – including comedies, thrillers, dramas, musicals, and crime – set to air on beIN Box Office 1 and 2 and beIN Movies 3 Drama.
Australian director Baz Luhrmann’s latest masterpiece, Elvis revived cinemas this year. The Warner Bros. production, co-starring Tom Hanks and Olivia Dejonge, is nominated for eight Oscars. Elvis will be broadcast from March 9 to 15 and airing continuously for 22 hours each day from midnight (00:00 MECCA) to 22:00 MECCA on beIN Box Office 2.
Paramount Pictures’ action filled film Top Gun Maverick starring Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, and Val Kilmer can be seen on beIN Box Office 1 and will similarly air from March 9 to 15 , for 22 hours continuously, from midnight (00:00 MECCA) to 22:00 MECCA. In the running for six Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay, the film has three technical category nominations, including Best Film Editing, Best Sound, and Best Visual Effects.
At 21:30 MECCA on March 10, beIN Movies 3 Drama will take viewers back to 1994 when it screens the TriStar Pictures’ romantic comedy Sleepless in Seattle, starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. The movie, directed by the late Nora Ephron, was nominated for Best Original Screenplay and Best Original Song at the 66th Academy Awards.
On March 13 – following the presentation of this year’s 95th Academy Awards – beIN Movies 3 Drama will broadcast four Oscar-winning movies throughout the day.
The roll call begins at 12:15 MECCA with the star-studded thriller Argo, which claimed seven Oscars in 2013. The Oscars line up continues at 16:45 MECCA with the screening of Warner Bros’ romantic drama The Curious Case of Benjamin Button – Hollywood’s rendition of the F Scott Fitzgerald classic about a man who ages in reverse.
Focus Features’ psychological thriller Promising Young Woman – which took the 2021 Oscar for Best Original Screenplay is broadcast next, at 19:30 MECCA. Directed by Emerald Fennell and starring Carey Mulligan, the movie is a gripping tale of a young college dropout whose life has been scarred by a mysterious trauma that claimed the life of her best friend.
The 13 March Oscar extravaganza ends at 21:30 MECCA with the timeless crime drama Goodfellas, a story of mobster Henry Hill and his relationships with family, friends, and Italian-American crime syndicate partners.
The Oscars’ run continues on beIN Movies 3 Drama on March 19 with the 21:30 MECCA screening of Warner Bros’ The Prestige, which was nominated for Best Production Design and Best Cinematography in 2007.
BeIN’s Oscars curtain comes down on March 23 on beIN Movies 3 Drama, with the 21:30 MECCA screening of The Great Gatsby – winning Oscars for Best Production Design and Best Costume Design in 2014.
