TF1 group, which holds the exclusive rights to the 2014 FIFA World Cup, is to sub-license part of the live broadcast rights to pay-TV channel beIN Sports.
The deal includes live coverage of all of 64 matches in the competition, of which 36 will be exclusive.
TF1 will exclusively broadcast the top 28 matches on its free-to-air channel, including all those involving the French national team, as well as the most interesting games of the 16th round, the quarter-finals, the semi-finals and the final.
The deal also includes a daily magazine show and other support programming.
The coverage will be shown across the beIN Sports 1, beIN Sports 2 and beIN Sports Max channels.
beIN Sports said that the deal includes digital media and social network rights.
The value of the deal has not been disclosed, but it was reported last year that TF1 was keen to recoup some of the $179m it spent on acquiring the rights.
