Bollywood actor Salman Khan will be in Abu Dhabi by the end of this month to film portions of period film Bharat, as reported by Gulf News.
The report quoted the film’s Co-producer and T-Series Managing Director Bhushan Kumar as saying that it will be a 15-day shooting schedule in Abu Dhabi and will start in the last week of September.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat is reportedly the remake of the 2014 South Korean film Ode To My Father, which chronicles a young boys promise to take care of his family as the Korean war unfurled and spans six tumultuous decades.
As reported by Gulf News, the original has been tweaked and set against the backdrop of the India-Pakistan partition. Bharat also stars Jackie Shroff as Khans father and is slated for Eid 2019 release.
Khan has filmed Race 3 and Tiger Zinda Hai, in Abu Dhabi. Race 3 was filmed at nine locations in Abu Dhabi across 23 days.
In August, the Bharat team wrapped up their second schedule of shooting in Malta. Salman Khan’s brother-in-law, Atul Agnihotri, is co-producing the film.
