The drama is adapted from the Japanese series of the same name from Nippon TV.
The Turkish series Woman, distributed by Calinos Entertainment, has been acquired by Record TV, Brazil’s second-largest free-to-air TV network, known for its biblical telenovelas.
Produced by Medyapim and MF Yapim, Woman will be the first Turkish drama ever to air on Record TV. The series, adapted from the Japanese show of the same name by Nippon TV, will premiere on Record under the title Força de Mulher.
Woman follows the story of Bahar (played by Ozge Ozpirincci), a young woman who has faced numerous hardships, including the loss of her parents, grandparents and husband. Despite these challenges, Bahar strives to bring joy and creativity to her children’s lives, turning adversity into a game, poverty into fun, and absence into joy.
Duda Rodrigues, Sales Manager for Latin America, commented on the show’s international success: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Record TV Brazil for the sale of one of our top shows, Woman. It has been one of the most successful titles ever produced in Turkey. Calinos has made a significant impact in many regions worldwide, particularly in Latin America. We are pleased that our clients recognise the value of our titles, and we aim to continue providing top-quality content, as we always have.”
