The new centre will focus on improving the deployment, integration and optimisation of nxtedition newsrooms for both traditional broadcasters and digital publishers.
Broadcast Solutions, one of Europe’s major media systems integration firms, has announced the opening of a Centre of Excellence in Dubai, UAE, dedicated to nxtedition newsroom solutions. This new hub will design and deploy turnkey systems for on-premises and hybrid newsroom operations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia.
The centre will also offer extensive training programmes for media professionals, ensuring they can fully harness nxtedition’s capabilities. An integrated support centre will work alongside the nxtedition hotline in Malmö, Sweden, providing ongoing assistance.
This initiative highlights Broadcast Solutions’ commitment to delivering cutting-edge newsroom technology worldwide. The centre will focus on optimising nxtedition deployments for both traditional broadcasters and digital publishers.
Speaking about the establishment of the new centre, Rainer Kampe, CTO of Broadcast Solutions, said: “nxtedition represents a true paradigm shift for news organisations. Initially developed as an automation system for live studio productions, nxtedition has evolved into a full-fledged end-to-end news and programme production platform. It transcends the conventional separation between Newsroom Computer Systems (NRCS) and News Production Systems (NPS) rooted in the MOS era. This innovation enables more agile, efficient workflows, perfectly suited to the demands of modern breaking news coverage.”
Roger Persson, CEO of nxtedition, added: “We’re excited to kick off this partnership with Broadcast Solutions. Deploying our next-generation newsroom platform at scale requires partners with the resources and the expertise to help our customers implement new workflows that can unleash the productivity gains nxtedition was designed for.”
