CABSATMENA, CABSAT 2011, BroadcastPro Middle East
CABSAT authorities claim that its two-day programme will be a lot better than it has been in previus years. The conference will feature industry leaders from some of the most experienced markets in the world, including Europe and the USA, plus the most recent papers from IBC.
Produced on behalf of CABSAT by a team from Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), International Association of Broadcast Manufacturers (IABM) and Middle East Communications Industries Association (MECIA), the programme includes sessions for both engineers and managers, with a clear focus on innovation and technology.
Concepts such as cloud services for broadcasting feature in the programme, along with papers on content creation workflow and will empower local service providers to take their place in global collaborative production and post production.
Other sessions look at the migration to IT for broadcast and the potential for video over IP, as well as important sessions on challenge of maintaining profitability in the multi-platform marketplace.
A panel discussion on training and skills development led by Peter White, director general of IABM, will focus on a major training initiative aimed at filling the skills gap globally.
Key speakers at the conference include Dr Fares Lubbadeh, technical director, Arab Radio & Television; Thomas Heinzer, CTO of Nevion; and Gavin Campion, president of KIT Digital Inc amongst others.
A special programme will also be presented in association with IBC. The half day session will include a number of IBC papers which were recently presented in what is recognised as the industrys leading forum for debate and innovation.
CABSAT has traditionally included conference sessions, but as the market and our event matures we needed to take the conference to a new level, said Trixee Loh, senior VP, Exhibitions and Event Management of Dubai World Trade Centre which organises CABSAT & Satellite MENA.
Working in partnership with bodies who have their fingers on the pulse of the region we have developed a programme which offers real insight, challenging opinions and stimulating discussions.
CABSAT & Satellite MENA 2011 will run from 8-10 February 2011 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
