The 45th CIFF will showcase a selection of films from around the globe and feature a series of film workshops and seminars.
The Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) has renewed its partnership with Sofitel El Gezirah Hotel, which will once again serve as the official host venue for stars and guests attending the festival’s 45th edition, taking place from November 13 to 22, 2025.
The agreement was signed by CIFF President and acclaimed actor Hussein Fahmy, and Mohamed Fawzy, Director of Sales and Marketing at Sofitel El Gezirah, in the presence of the hotel’s General Manager Ahmed Shendweely. The collaboration aims to provide world-class hospitality for both local and international guests, aligning with the festival’s continued mission to deliver a globally recognised cinematic experience.
Hussein Fahmy expressed his appreciation for the renewed partnership, and said: “We are pleased to work once again with Sofitel El Gezirah, whose services and hospitality were highly praised by our guests last year. This collaboration is a key step in our preparations to welcome a stellar lineup of film professionals from around the world.”
Ahmed Shendweely added: “We are proud to continue our partnership with CIFF and contribute to the success of one of the most prominent film festivals in the region. We look forward to hosting the stars of global cinema once more in our hotel.”
As CIFF gears up for its milestone 45th edition, the agreement highlights the festival’s broader commitment to building strong partnerships with leading institutions. It also reinforces CIFF’s status as a premier cultural event, recognized by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) as the only Category A festival in the Arab world and Africa.
The upcoming edition will feature an array of international film screenings, industry panels, and masterclasses, drawing attention from cinephiles, critics and creators across the globe.
