Cedars Art Production has announced the official Turkish adaptation of its hit series, Al Hayba. To be produced by AyNA Yapim, the series will be titled Far Away. This adaptation marks a significant milestone in Cedars Art’s ongoing strategy to expand its global footprint by adapting its IP for new and diverse markets. Under the direction of Ahmet Katıksız, AyNA Yapim’s Far Away will bring the core of the Al Hayba’s narrative to Turkey’s rich television landscape. The series will star Ozan Akbaba and Sinem Ünsal.
The announcement was made in conjunction with Cedars Art Production celebration of its 70 years of production excellence at Mipcom 2024. Moreover, the partnership with AyNA Yapim further underscores the company’s leading role in exporting powerful Middle Eastern content to international audiences.
The original Lebanese series Al Hayba, spanning 5 seasons and comprising 150 episodes, captivated audiences across the Middle East. The series featured themes of family loyalty, power struggles, and love, and went on to become a cultural phenomenon, attracting international critical acclaim. It is regarded as one of the most successful productions in Arab television history.
