All information submitted must be in English, and there is no fee for applying to CineMart.
CineMart, the co-production market of the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), has announced that it is now accepting project submissions for its 42nd edition, which will be held during the 54th IFFR from January 30 to February 9, 2025.
CineMart offers a platform for filmmakers and producers to present their projects to an array of industry professionals, including co-producers, funds, sales agents, distributors and other potential financiers. The submission deadline for CineMart 2025 is September 1, 2024. The project can be from all parts of the world.
CineMart showcases a curated selection of independent feature film projects and immersive media works in development, providing them with crucial mentorship and networking opportunities. The main selection criteria include the viability and quality of the project, as well as the demonstrated talent of the director and/or producer. Projects should be intended for theatrical release (minimum length of 60 minutes), have a budget of no more than 6m euros, and should already have some national funding or third-party investment secured.
The project is set up as a co-production and there should be a potential international market for the project. Projects should be new to the market and not have explored all possible avenues of financing yet.
All information provided should be in English, including subtitles. Applications can only be submitted more than once when specifically invited to do so. A complete screenplay should be available during CineMart. There is no fee for CineMart applications.
For immersive media projects, filmmakers must first submit to the IMPULSE Content programme through XR4Europe. Up to four immersive projects will be presented at CineMart 2025. The deadline for the IMPULSE Content Call is September 13, 2024.
