The group plans to launch 200 new screens by 2023, in addition to recruiting more Saudi nationals in the entertainment sector.
Cinépolis Cinemas has opened two new cinemas in Al Jamea Plaza, Jeddah, and in Lulu Mall, Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The expansion of Cinépolis into the Saudi market is part of the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision, which aims to diversify the country’s economy, and spread culture and entertainment.
To facilitate further regional expansion in the Kingdom, the Saudi General Commission for Audiovisual Media (GCAM) has issued the license for cinema operation to Cinépolis. In partnership with Al Hokair group and regional partner, Al Tayer Group, $300 million will be invested in the field over five years, leading to the economic development for the country.

The opening of both cinemas coincides with the launch of Cinépolis’ new website and mobile application, available for Android users under the name Cinépolis Gulf.
