The agreement brings four of CJ ENM’s popular dramas to ice, the airline’s inflight entertainment system.
CJ ENM has finalised a distribution deal with UAE airline Emirates to feature four of its hit K-dramas on the airline’s inflight entertainment system, ice. Partnering with content distribution and production company Circular Media, this agreement expands the global presence of Korean entertainment in travel media.
The lineup includes four of CJ ENM’s successful dramas—Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, Lovely Runner, Hotel Del Luna and What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim. By offering these popular series onboard, Emirates aims to enhance its premium entertainment selection and cater to the rising demand for K-Dramas among international travellers.
Sebastian Kim, VP of the International Content Business Department at CJ ENM, said: “It is definitely a monumental moment for us, CJ ENM, to provide our titles for the one and only Emirates. We genuinely hope this in-flight exposure opportunity of our well-made titles brings joy, thrill, and happiness to all the customers who begin their journeys with the airline.”
These dramas, known for their commercial success and worldwide fanbase, continue to captivate audiences. Their inclusion in Emirates’ onboard offerings underscores the increasing demand for high-quality K-dramas in global inflight entertainment.
Nicolás Valdés, CEO of Circular Media, commented: “We are proud to have facilitated this agreement, expanding the reach of CJ ENM’s premium content to a new audience. Emirates is a key partner in bringing world-class entertainment to travellers, and this deal underscores the growing global demand for high-quality K-dramas.”
