The Salon will feature exclusive insights into the MENA content market in collaboration with Parrot Analytics.
The Co-Production Salon, a premier platform for top production houses, OTT platforms, select TV networks and content investors in the MENA region, is set to make an appearance at MIPCOM 2024. The event will take place from October 21 to October 24 at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, France. As the only independent forum in the MENA region dedicated to fostering international collaborations through co-investing and co-producing content, the Co-Production Salon aims to generate measurable returns for and from Arabic-speaking territories in the Middle East and North Africa.
MIPCOM, the content market held at the Palais des Festivals, is regarded as the most significant co-production gathering globally, drawing over 11,000 participants from more than 100 countries. The event features a full schedule of screenings, networking sessions and business opportunities, attracting prominent industry leaders and media conglomerates worldwide.
Speaking about the event, Heba Korayem, Founder of Co-Production Salon, said: “The Co-Production Salon has proved a very popular concept both online and offline over the past three years in partnership with regional events in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. This will be our first time bringing the Salon to an international content market, and we’re expecting unprecedented avenues for our Arabic content community. Our platform not only showcases top-tier Arabic projects, but also bridges the gap between Middle Eastern and Western media content investment landscapes, enabling fruitful partnerships, many of which we have already successfully facilitated.”
Pascale Lalemand, Regional Director for MENA at MIPCOM, added: “MIPCOM 2024 is thrilled to host the CoProduction Salon. Their presence underscores our commitment to diversifying the range of content and collaborations showcased, enhancing our role as a catalyst for international media cooperation.”
At MIPCOM 2024, the Co-Production Salon will host major media entities such as the Saudi Broadcasting Authority from Saudi Arabia, Cedars Art from Lebanon, Arab Tele Media Group from Jordan, Spacetoon and Animotion from the UAE and Image Factory from Morocco, among others.
Additionally, the Salon will present exclusive insights into the MENA content market in collaboration with Parrot Analytics. Attendees will have the chance to witness a demo of the innovative Virtual Product Placement technology by ADSPECTIVE, showcasing how production companies can maximise revenue from their video assets.
The Co-Production Salon at MIPCOM 2024 aims to introduce the industry with fresh energy, offering an essential platform for the global content community to explore new business and partnership opportunities.
