IndiaCast, the content asset monetisation arm of TV18 and Viacom18, has announced the launch of Salaam Namaste UAE Season 2 on COLORS TV. This locally produced TV show premiered last year. The show draws inspiration from ordinary UAE residents who have been achievers in their chosen fields.
In line with 2017 being The Year of Giving this 30-minute bi-weekly non-fiction show will air for seven weeks with the aim to make a difference to the society. Keeping alive the essence of the show, Salaam Namaste UAE Season 2 will not only highlight individuals and corporates who are actively involved in giving back to society but will also act as a wish fulfilment medium for many of the viewers in this region.
The second season of the show will have 14 episodes with three segments in each episode. The first segment will feature renowned South Asians and corporates who have made a difference to the society through their humanitarian acts. Embracing the theme of 2017 as The Year of giving, the second segment aims to accomplish little acts of kindness to bring joy to the underprivileged people across UAE, leading to the third segment where COLORS fulfils viewers wishes, which were received via on-air and digital campaign.
Speaking about the show, Sachin Gokhale, Senior VP and Business Head Middle East, Africa and APAC, said: Salaam Namaste UAE has opened doors to bigger dreams in the UAE and were as excited as our audiences to introduce Season 2. This season with its humanitarian purpose will strike a different chord with the viewers and will help us in our endeavour to bring people together and pave way for a better future. We hope to change the lives of at least a few deserving people and inspire many through this locally produced TV show.
