Create Production, in collaboration with the Department of Economy & Tourism (DET) and experimental music duo WYWY, has announced the successful completion of a project for Visit Dubai’s Sounds of the City series. This joint effort aimed to craft a musical and visual masterpiece that showcases Dubai as a premier entertainment destination.
Tackling the challenge presented by the brief, Create Production embarked on a mission to explore uncharted territories. The team’s objective was two-fold: identify an indoor location in Dubai and pair it with a local band whose music seamlessly complements the venue’s ambiance. The quest led to the discovery of the experimental music duo WYWY and the extraordinary Aya Universe.
The creative vision sought to unite WYWY’s dreamlike musical quality with the otherworldly atmosphere of Aya Universe. Comprising the talented musician couple X and Mckie Alvarez, WYWY is celebrated for its psychedelic sound and experimental style, contributing significantly to the indie music scene in the UAE.
