The newly launched UAE radio station Dance FM claims to have had a 40% increase in daily listeners. The radio station also claimed that it is now the number three station in its competitive set with listeners comprising 2.8% of expats plus 0.5% of local and Arab expats.
Theo Makris, Managing Partner for Shock Middle East, the operators of Dance FM 97.8, said: As a new station in the market, our team works incredibly hard to be at the heart of our community. These buoyant numbers show that theres an appetite with both advertisers and listeners alike for good quality and truly effective Dance music.
He added that the growth will continue as Dance FM 97.8 has entered in to strategic partnerships with some of the best venues in the UAE, and is now the official radio partner of Tomorrowland in Belgium and Unite with Tomorrowland Dubai.
Dance FM launched this February as an exclusively dance music radio station in the UAE. The station plays accessible dance-influenced music 24 hours a day with live sets from international and local DJs as well as visiting international artists. Listeners can tune into live DJ sets nightly from 8pm.
