From comedy to culture and sports to spirituality, Deezer ‘Shows’ adds local and international podcasts to the entertainment mix.
Music streaming platform Deezer has launched podcasts in the MENA region with content ranging from comedy, culture and sports to spirituality. Users can access the English and Arabic podcasts in Deezer’s new ‘Shows’ tab.
Its library includes both local shows and global content in over 15 categories. These include a range of topics including music, self-help, cooking, history, business news and talk shows.
In Arabic, users can listen to Dom Tok, a documentary series exploring the vibrant world of Arabic music, news podcast Almostajad, Al Empire which will have interviews with successful Arabs and leaders around the world.
Arabic podcasts also include B’ Hob which explores love in all its forms through stories from across the region, 1001 Nights, a show featuring classic Arabian folk tales; Man2Man, a sports podcast focussing on the latest NBA basketball news and the Yalla Podcast, where the co-founders of a Dubai-based podcast business will share the story behind their success.
In English, users can listen to BBC Global News Podcast, Oprah’s Super Soul Conversations, Pop Culture Happy Hour which will talk about the latest movies, television, books, and music, and When Women Win, which will focus on female role models from around the world.
Users will also get personalised recommendations and can also download their favourite episodes for offline listening.
