During the past few years, Diagnal has delivered cross-platform viewing experiences for Intigral's premium content, allowing it to offer parallel services to specific brands in the MENA region.
Diagnal, a global provider of media technology solutions and services, has announced the extension of its strategic partnership with Intigral, the media and advertising arm of STC Group, which aims to revolutionise entertainment experiences for audiences in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Since the beginning of their partnership in early 2020, Diagnal and Intigral have worked closely to deliver cross-platform viewing experiences. As a master aggregator of content and a digital provider of entertainment and sports platforms, Intigral boasts a portfolio of original, regional, and global content accessible to MENA viewers through a single subscription. Intigral ensures content accessibility on a multitude of devices, including its own branded set-top box, retail televisions, mobile devices, and PC web browsers. Furthermore, Intigral’s technology platforms support multi-tenancy capabilities, enabling the launch of numerous parallel services under specific brands throughout the MENA region, such as stc tv in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain, and Jawwy TV across the broader MENA territory.
Leveraging their extensive expertise and experience in OTT app development, Diagnal collaborated closely with Intigral to translate their vision and product requirements into robust application delivery plans. Diagnal developed and tested video application solutions compatible with various TV devices, including the Android operator tier launcher on Skyworth set-top boxes, as well as cross-platform apps tailored for LG TV, Samsung TV, retail Android TVs, Apple TV, Fire TV, Xbox, and Foxxum. Following the launch of these TV apps, Diagnal assumed responsibility for the development and testing of Intigral’s Android and iOS mobile applications. Additionally, Diagnal provides round-the-clock technical support services to Intigral, ensuring the efficient management and resolution of any unforeseen production incidents.
This technology partnership, centred on delivering premium multi-platform experiences, has led to a substantial increase in Intigral product viewership. The success has further spurred Intigral and Diagnal to explore additional avenues for enhancing entertainment experiences for Intigral’s discerning customers. These enhancements include improving user navigation, introducing a dedicated kids mode, creating a branded sports section, and expanding service availability in French across select MENA countries.
Commenting on the deal, Bill Sharp, Chief Technology Officer at Intigral, said: “We are pleased to continue and extend our technology services partnership with Diagnal, whom we trust to help us efficiently transform and extend regional viewing experiences. Diagnal’s technical expertise, deep industry knowledge and commitment to success have played a crucial role in realising our ambitious product roadmap vision for robust video application experiences in the hands of our users. With Diagnal’s support, we have not only increased our viewership numbers but also witnessed a significant rise in customer satisfaction. We look forward to further collaboration and innovation with Diagnal as we continue to raise the bar for premium OTT streaming experiences across the MENA region.”
Reuben Verghese, CEO of Diagnal, added: “The OTT industry in MENA is dynamic, growing, and competitive. This environment demands fast-paced technical innovation and delivery flexibility. Diagnal is dedicated to prioritising our customers’ evolving needs and delivering relevant, robust solutions that drive engagement, revenue, and user satisfaction. We are delighted to be collaborating with Intigral and will continue to innovate alongside them in the future.”
