On the first day of the event, Magic Image Co. and Sone Studios have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
Dubai International Content Market has concluded today with more than 50 exhibitors from 20 countries sharing their ideas.
DICM provides an opportunity for content buyers and sellers to generate leads and explore business prospects, but it also acts as the ultimate destination to network with top names in the field and access vital information that evolves business activities.
The two-day exhibition, which was held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel conference centre, witnessed great partnerships among companies sharing the common goal of innovation in the field of content creation.
Following the inauguration of the event, Ilker Kilic, Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in the UAE, Israfil Kuralay, Vice President of The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, Ahmet Mibash Demircan, Deputy Minister of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Trade accompanied by Eng Aiman Al Madani, CEO of Finance and Administration at INDEX Holding toured the exhibition and witnessed the latest breakthroughs in the field of media content.
Kilic said: “DICM is one of the most important platforms that opens up a door of opportunities in the Middle East and Africa. We are delighted to see the huge presence of Turkish brands in these types of exhibitions that showcase the demand of the Turkish media content which brings us closer together and connects our cultures.”
Andres Salinero, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Spain to the UAE also attended the exhibition and expressed his deep admiration of the Spanish participation as it showcases the valuable impact of their national product.
Following the increased screen time spent on international streaming services after the lockdown forced by Covid-19, DICM fourth edition brought the top content creators and media sellers to showcase the finest media materials that cater to all generations with the best production value.
Eng Al Madani stated: “For the past few years, Dubai has shaped itself to be one of the Middle East’s key providers of print, broadcast, and digital media materials. DICM reflects the great efforts that the UAE has been exhibiting as we work on serving global audiences. Dubai is widely seen as a growing member in the global media landscape, as the government succeeded in bolstering Dubai’s status as a media hub, launching new programmes in an effort to keep the emirate competitive with other regional media hubs and a number one source.”
Evgenia Markova, CEO, Roskino Russia stated: “DICM is a historic step towards a new perception of the Russian film industry in the MENA region, and to establish relations with the UAE as an important media hub for the Middle East and North Africa. An MoU signing took place on the first day of the event between Magic Image Co. Ltd, a producing, distributing, operating, and exporting animation studio in South Korea, and Sone Studios, an entertainment and animation company that owns offices locally and internationally. The agreement will see both media companies collaborate on multiple fronts including sharing Korean content while delivering innovative, audience-centric content that will enhance and expand the digital offering.
DICM gathers together regional and global stakeholders to showcase content, exchange experiences, ideas, and form valuable connections and make international business deals as it’s considered the only event that delivers efficient results to stakeholders beyond the MENA region.

Throughout the two days, DICM has successfully organised and hosted around 800 meetings through the content business hub which resulted in fruitful partnerships and associations.
