The rag-to-riches story that reportedly earned standing ovations when it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, will screen at VOX Cinemas (cinema 9), Mall of the Emirates from 7th September until 20th September 2017.
In the coming-of-age story set in Jersey, an unlikely rapper Patricia Killa P Dombrowski finds her voice as a one-of-a-kind hip-hop legend in the making. A first-time directorial venture with feature films, by commercial and music video director Geremy Jasper, Patti Cake$ chronicles an underdogs quest for fame and glory.
The film introduces Australian newcomer Danielle Macdonald in a breakout role lauded largely by critics that has led to her being cast opposite Jennifer Anniston in the upcoming film Dumplin.
