Discovery+ will combine Discovery’s library with sports and offer content from Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, ID, Discovery Science, Food Network, Travel Channel, as well as Eurosport.
Discovery has signed a strategic partnership with Megogo to launch discovery+ on the latter’s media service across 13 countries in Eastern Europe and Asia.
From December 2020, discovery+ will be available to Megogo customers in Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Lithuania, Estonia, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
Discovery+ combines Discovery’s factual and entertainment library with sports and offers shows, characters and sports heroes from its iconic brands: Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, ID, Discovery Science, Food Network, Travel Channel, as well as Eurosport.
Thousands of hours of video-on-demand shows and additional live sports content on top of Eurosport 1 HD and Eurosport 2 HD will be made available to Megogo subscribers, as part of the basic subscription or as a direct buy-through option for all Megogo users.
The VOD programmes will include key titles from factual and entertainment library, such as Gold Rush, Wheeler Dealers, Richard Hammond’s Big, 90 Day Fiance, Say Yes To the Dress, Dr. Pimple Popper, Joe Exotic: Tigers, Lies And Cover-Up, Who Killed Jeffrey Epstein as well as premium Discovery factual content in 4K, available for the first time across these markets.
At the same time, the service will feature live games and angles from Eurosport’s premium sports events, such as Roland Garros, Australian Open and the Olympic Games.
