With certain regulations and guidelines, the order for issuing filming permits will be effective immediately.
The Dubai Film and TV Commission has announced that the agency will start issuing filming permits in the city again with necessary precautionary measures owing to the coronavirus pandemic. According to a circular sent out to business partners, the order is effective immediately upon adhering to certain guidelines.
Some of the guidelines mentioned are already implemented in public spaces such as malls including temperature checks at entry points, two-metre social distancing, and no buffets. The list also contains few specific production-related regulations. For instance, casting is to be carried out remotely.
The crew members on set must be between the ages of 18 and 60 and there is to be no filming between 10 pm and 6 am. No more than 10 crew members will be allowed on set at one time and makeup sessions are to use single-use implements.
